Are you passionate about the performing arts? Do you believe in the power of education and opportunity? If so, we invite you to join us in making a difference in the performing arts community through the Mark H Butler Performing Arts Scholarship. Our not-for-profit scholarship fund is dedicated to providing financial assistance and opportunities for growth to talented individuals pursuing a career in the performing arts. We believe that everyone should have the chance to pursue their dreams and develop their talents, regardless of their financial circumstances. One of our main goals is to support and encourage individuals in the performing arts field by offering scholarships for performing arts education. We understand that pursuing a career in the arts can be challenging, both financially and professionally. That's why we are committed to providing financial support to help talented individuals overcome these obstacles and achieve their goals. In addition to our general scholarships, we also have a specific focus on supporting Black graduates of Swanton High School who are pursuing higher education in the performing arts. We believe in the importance of diversity and representation in the arts, and we want to ensure that talented individuals from all backgrounds have the opportunity to succeed. Our scholarship fund is named after Mark H. Butler, a graduate of SHS who has been an inspiration to many in the performing arts community. Mark's dedication and passion for the arts have made a lasting impact, and we are proud to carry on his legacy through our scholarship fund. To raise funds for our scholarships, we are organizing a fundraising event on February 17, 2024, at Swanton High School. The event will feature performances by the Swanton High School Jazz Band and the University of Toledo Jazz Ensemble with Ellie Martin. It will be a night filled with incredible music and a celebration of the performing arts. We invite you to join us at this event and show your support for the performing arts community. By attending, you will not only enjoy a night of amazing performances but also contribute to the future of talented individuals in the performing arts. If you are unable to attend the event, there are still ways you can make a difference. You can donate directly to our scholarship fund or spread the word about our mission and fundraising efforts. Every contribution, big or small, makes a significant impact and helps us provide more opportunities for talented individuals in the performing arts. Together, we can make a difference in the performing arts community. Join us in supporting the Mark H Butler Performing Arts Scholarship and help us create a brighter future for aspiring artists.
